About Groundswell

The Groundswell project set out to tackle the problems created by organic waste in landfill by turning it into a solution for agricultural soils.

Through a partnership between Goulburn Mulwaree, Palerang, Lachlan and Queanbeyan City Councils the project tested the viability of the City to Soil collection service and its capacity to engage communities to become part of the solution.

By taking the story all the way back to the farm, City to Soil shows us how we can "close the loop" on the nutrient cycle in a very practical way.

The soil feeds and clothes us all – no economy is possible without quality farming soils and agriculture.
